I don’t like poetry
But I have got something I’d like to say
I want to be direct
and so I’ll say it plain
Can we be a pair?
What do you say?<\/p>\n
the time we spent was perfect
It will always be perfect in my memory
But memories are not much use
when you wake up on your own
Do you want me
or would you rather be alone?<\/p>\n
I watched daytime TV
and tried to push the thoughts away
but my thoughts returned
to the shape of your face
and how you move
and how your mouth tastes<\/p>\n
if I don’t admit
then when you’re near,
I lose my grip
I know my songs are clumsy and [too thin]
but I’m being honest
Does that count for anything?<\/p>\n

and how you move
and how your mouth tastes<\/p>\n
