Willow Rose
Fourteenth of August, 2000 A.D.
At 7:53, not too late for tea
A little thing called Willow came upon the scene
truly a gift to me
She was a small thing but big enough to scream,
to cuddle Mom and me, and then to fall asleep
A little thing called Willow came upon the scene
truly a gift to me
Maybe she’ll see the 22nd century
A hundred she would be, a possibility
Can we sustain the earth for human life?
I guess there’s no harm in trying
Me, I would rather live a different way
Change my [worldview day]
and see the world decay
so when my baby reaches 59
the resources would not be dry
If all you think about is yourself,
accumulating wealth,
then I won’t drink to your health
Let me remind you that somebody else
has to live here when you’re gone
So raise your glasses to another life
I hope you won’t deny
it’s nice to be alive
Hey, Willow Rose, you’re welcome in my life
cos babies are peaceful and nice
